Rivia Magiarín is a mask and a window at the same time. Behind it lives an artist who has been drawing since before she can remember — witches, cats, octopuses, hidden beings — who believes in the magic hidden in small things and in the creatures that exist just at the edge of what we call real.

Explore The Cozy Witch

The first Cozy Witch was born in 2009 — a girl in black, mischievous smile, a crooked branch for a wand and a tiny black cat tucked in her pocket, echoing Kiki the witch apprentice. Her socks never matched. Her hat ribbon was always red. She came from a love of digital painting and a little of Son Goku's wild spirit.

Two years later, her arm found a better angle and her smile grew a little more defiant, leaving behind the too-childlike character of the original. That was the Cozy Witch.

In the universe of Rivia Magiarín, some creatures are not born: they simply appear when their story decides to manifest. In 2018, upon paper and pencil, the silhouette of a cat with an enigmatic smile emerged, surrounded by feathers that betrayed an act already consummated. It was not mischief: it was destiny. The cat devoured the canary, and in that gesture its nature was sealed.

When in 2019 it received color and digital form, its true essence surfaced: a playful, radiant, and profoundly loving being. The heart it carries on its chest is not an ornament, but a declaration. Every one of its actions —even the most mischievous— is, ultimately, an act of love.

Explore Octopus Collection

In 2023, an orange octopus tangled itself in the DNA double helix rising from the earth, claiming its place in the evolutionary scale with charisma and personality.

A year later, a blue-ringed octopus (Hapalochlaena) crossed its path and, merging together, they gave birth to the ría octopus with blue rings — a fantasy made real in the art and stories universe of Rivia Magiarín.
